Students

Welcome students! The Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) State Board values student membership and participation as the future of the organization. Each local AEP Chapter provides outreach and services to university studies within its boundaries. Many local AEP chapters also have student chapters at universities which can offer more events and opportunities to network with members of the environmental profession (e.g., resume workshops, speed networking, CEQA Practicum in San Diego, etc.).

The Orange County Chapter AEP (OCAEP) is proud to offer two student chapters, at UCI and Chapman University. Through these on-campus groups, OCAEP is able to support our students in career growth in the environmental field. We are also excited to announce an upcoming student chapter at the California State University of Fullerton (CSUF)!  We offer professional development through our various programs throughout the year as well as networking opportunities with students and professionals in our OCAEP member network. Various student chapter and local chapter programs offer AICP CM credit through the American Planning Association (APA) as well. OCAEP strives to keep its members up-to-date on CEQA issues and environmental news via email and LinkedIn. To sign up on our interest list, please click here.

Also, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our State Board has elected to allow students to join AEP for one year free.  Please go here to register now!
